What an amazing congress with some 1000 delegates attending, representing over 10 African countries! The Laboratory Congress was held at ICC Sandton, Johannesburg from 31st August to 4th September 2011.
The launch of the JMS HemoPress Automated Blood Separator was well timed into the market as many African countries are changing from manual to automated blood processing techniques.

The performance and speed of the HemoPress demonstrated the ease at which whole blood can be separated in this modern day of technology. The machine is currently obtaining its CE certification and will undergo validation at Singapore Blood Service in October this year. It is hoped that the first HemoPresses will be sold in Africa early 2012.

Our SSEM exhibition booth was visited by a large segment of the delegates of the congress, as well as many exhibitors. The newly registered JMS blood bags in South Africa created a large amount of interest & discussion. The Export Manager for JMS Africa and Asia was in South Africa for this eventful congress and also took time to visit the Blood Services in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
The JMS brand of blood banking equipment was also on display and revealed its ease of use and capabilities. The JMS now offers a complete product range to the South African and African market, ranging from blood bags, collection and processing equipment to donation chairs. Read more under about all the products under Blood Management.
Thank you to Scatterlings Conference & Events organiser’s and associated organizations SALDA, WPBTS & SANBS to name a few for making the congress such an amazing the success and providing us exhibitor’s the opportunity for such exposure.
