The company's flagship brand, BladderScan® bladder volume measurement instruments, is used in Urology, Acute Care, Primary Care, and Extended Care and is considered a standard of care.  Noninvasive and easy to use, the BladderScan helps prevent unnecessary urinary catheterizations, reduces rates of catheter-associated urinary tract infection, helps diagnose urinary-related problems such as enlarged prostate (BPH) and helps monitor post-operative urinary retention (POUR).

Verathon expanded its product portfolio with the acquisition of Saturn Biomedical Systems and the GlideScope® Video Laryngoscope (GVL) brand in January 2006.
