The Altius adult central venous catheter range utilises Multi-Tube™ Technology to produce a catheter with round lumens, resulting in 40% more flow without increasing the size of the catheter. A high pressure line incorporated into the Altius HP range, allows for high pressure contrast media infusions.
More lumens and improved flow in the Altius adult central venous catheter range reduce the need to insert additional lines, resulting in minimised risk of catheter related bloodstream infection.

The Altius range consists of both adult and paediatric central venous catheters, ranging from one to five lumens, from 2FR right up to 12FR and in lengths of 5cm to 30cm.
The Altius range has the added advantage of a Nitinol guidewire to eliminate kinking, a hydrophilic coated dilator to make insertion smoother and a guidewire introduction syringe to help reduce the risk of air embolism.
The new and easier to use Altius guidewire introducer/dispenser has a sliding thumb roller enabling one handed insertion and works with all sizes of guidewires.
